At Caribou Assembly...
...we are "Building To Touch Lives!"

Picture
During a business meeting in late summer of 2008, the Church Body of Caribou Assembly of God voted to "Build To Touch Lives" for the future!
Therefore, in September 2008, with a vision for their community, the members agreed to embark upon a Building Campaign to raise money to build extra space for ministry.  The need for more classrooms for Christian Education and to build a larger Fellowship Hall to facilitate fellowship within the Church were at the top of the priority list!  Plus, their ambition was to make the present facility one that is easy for all people to come into and use - making much needed updates and improvements...
The pledges were made, along with a "first-fruits" offering, and the goal was set at $222,000 to be raised within three years!  Today, we are well over half-way there, and are trusting God to help us to even exceed the goal.
Then, at a Member's Meeting on September 27, 2010, the Church Membership unanimously voted to build a 7,740 square foot ministry center on the lower portion of the property which will include new offices, handicap accessible bathrooms, eight classrooms, youth room, and great kitchen and a big fellowship hall!  (There is a picture of the floor plan below.)
On May 25, 2011, we broke ground to build the facility we have been praying about for so long!  In just 3 1/2 short months, the shell of that building is completed for this building season.  We aspire to complete the building in the fall of 2012.
Below we have a couple ways anyone can get involved to help us raise the necessary funds for this project of faith here at Caribou Assembly of God - where we are living in the LIFE and LOVE of God, and leaving a LEGACY behind for the generations to come!

Through sacrificial giving...

Picture

One way that we are encouraging everyone to get involved in this great Building Campaign is through sacrificial giving.  Our motto on this is "equal sacrifice, not equal gifts."  We are encouraging the whole Body to be involved in giving, above and beyond the tithe, towards this very needed project.
If you have not already made a pledge towards the project, you can always begin!  Just start giving towards the project by making it on your envelope under "Building Fund" or give in the special offering that we always collect on the third Sunday of the month.

Through special events
&
fund-raisers...

"You Make Caribou Assembly!"

One special event we have just begun is a Family Rockin' Walk-A-Thon, which we will do one June 12 at 9:30 AM.
On this speacial day we are encouraging EVERYONE who attends Caribou Assembly to participate by getting sponsors for this five mile walk.  Now, for the children, they will be walking a mile at the Caribou High School running track; and for the seniors and those who can't walk 5 miles, they are encouraged to rock in their rockin' chairs while the others are walking.  There will be prizes for the top three fund-raisers in their particular age brackets.  Our goal for this day of the rockin' walk-a-thon is $25,000!!!
We need everyone to participate, or to give a pledge to someone who is rockin' or walkin'!

We completed our FAMILY ROCKIN' WALK-A-THON and raised over $16,000!!!
Thanks to everyone who walked, rocked and helped to raise funds!  We also thank all donors who gave so generously!!!
